Western Ocean Seafood was founded in 2001 by the Kekulthotuwage Don family, built on a simple conviction: that Sri Lanka's waters produce some of the finest seafood in the Indian Ocean, and that buyers deserve a supplier who stands fully behind every shipment.
What began as [brief origin — e.g., "a small trading operation on the western coast"] has grown into an established export business serving importers in the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan. Over 20 years, we have developed deep relationships with fishing communities along Sri Lanka's coastline, giving us reliable access to consistent volumes of high-quality catch across species and seasons.
We are a family business, and that shapes how we operate. Decisions are made by the people whose name is on the company — not by a sales team working to a quarterly target.
